Used in conjunction with other therapies, Chinese herbs are often used to extend and enhance the natural healing that is activated by the various treatments you receive at our acupuncture and wellness clinic.
What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?
In China, people have been using natural herbs to treat a wide variety of diseases and conditions for thousands of years. These herbs are composed of roots, bark, flowers, seeds, fruits, leaves and branches.
Chinese herbs treat the imbalance underlying a condition’s symptoms. Deborah Btesh, your Miami Oriental Medicine practitioner, will choose the Chinese herbal formula that best matches and balances your unique energy pattern.
Are Chinese Herbs Safe?
Most Chinese herbal medicines have extremely low toxicity (especially as compared to the most common over-the-counter Western drugs) and little to no side effects.
Because there have been issues regarding products from China being tainted by heavy metals, we only recommend Chinese herbs from companies that have very strict procedures in place for ensuring product purity, quality and safety.
Note: Chinese herbs can interact with Western medications. When you meet with Deborah Btesh, AP, be sure to disclose all of the medications that you are currently taking.
